Recycle and reuse

September 7, 2009 Flá

I had a t-shirt from the show “Beauty and the Beast” that I attended a few years ago in Brazil. Of course the years added a few kilos on my silhouette and that loved tee didn’t fit me anymore. Not even close to fit me to be more precise….

But being a big fan of that show and having lovely memories linked to that tee, I decided to recycle and reuse it, changing it into a lunch/shopping bag. I didn’t planned very well beforehand and the process started 4 months ago but as I faced some hum…. chalenges to finish it, I put it aside until today, when I finally finished it.

I made many mistakes but the purpose is somewhat accomplished: I still have the tee but in a way that I can use it. Take a look!

bela1This is the tee as it was….

bela2And here is my new little bag!

I’m glad to have it done now. At least it’s not sitting here unfinished, sad and neglected… And yes, I love bags. It seems that I never have enough…

This is such a great idea. I have a shirt that is falling apart that I would love to save and I think I will turn it into a bag! Thanks!
